Saint Lucia Jazz Festival

The19th Annual Saint Lucia Jazz is
always a spectacular occasion bringing to life
the Caribbean's exuberance and capturing the spirit
of this magnificent island of St.Lucia.
The ten-day celebration will take place from
1st to 9th May 2010 beginning with fringe events
and climaxing with a powerhouse four day line-up
performing 6th to 9th May on the main stage.
Now in its 19th year, Saint Lucia Jazz is the
Caribbean's most established jazz event and has
achieved international recognition and awards.
The stunning scenery, tropical climate, crystal
clear waters and world famous Pitons provide the
perfect backdrop for the event.
The festival held every May brings together the
rich tones of jazz, sensuous
soul, cool calypso beats
and world rhythms from some of the greatest artists
in the music industry, and attracts music lovers
from all corners of the globe
A thrilling line up this year includes Earl
Klugh, Jean-Luc
Ponty,
Maxi Priest, Steel
Pulse, Foreigner,
Carimi, Harvey
Millar, Monty Maxwell, Carl Gustave and
Teddyson Join us for one of the best parties in
the Caribbean.

comments Senator Allen Chastanet, Saint Lucia's
Minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation.
Visitors to the island at that time will be in
for a two-for-one treat as Saint Lucia will be
one of the host nations for the International
Cricket Council's World Twenty20 Tournament (ICC
WT20). The two Group Stage matches will take place
before the main stage shows of Saint Lucia Jazz
with the Super 8s. The Semi Final matches take
place in the week following Jazz.
Saint Lucia itself is a stunning island covered
in luscious rainforest and beautiful beaches.
